Meet Darryn

Darryn Finn is an Exterior Advisor at Allied Exteriors with more than 25 years of professional experience and a background that gives him a particularly broad view of how homes are built, damaged, repaired, and improved.

Darryn grew up around construction, spending summers working for his family’s company throughout high school and college. After graduating, he became a property adjuster for a major insurance company, where his work ranged from everyday hail claims to catastrophic tornado and hurricane damage.

That experience taught him to examine homes carefully, document what he sees, communicate clearly, and understand what severe weather can do to a home—skills he continues to use when advising homeowners today.

For more than 20 years at Allied, Darryn has helped homeowners improve both the appearance and performance of their homes. He specializes particularly in energy-efficient replacement windows and James Hardie siding while maintaining experience across much of the home's exterior.

Darryn’s experience includes replacement windows in vinyl, composite, fiberglass, aluminum, and real wood, including projects that change window shapes, sizes, operation, or existing openings.

His expertise also covers James Hardie siding and trim, replacement doors, aluminum gutters, architectural and designer shingles, modified roofing for low-slope applications, metal roofing, framing, and sheathing.
That breadth allows him to consider how different pieces of the exterior work together rather than looking at each product in isolation.

Darryn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and an Associate in Claims (AIC). He is also an RRP Certified Renovator.

His professional training includes programs involving James Hardie, Simonton, Andersen Windows, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, GAF, Therma-Tru, and ProVia. His form specifically identifies training in areas including window installation, roofing systems and ventilation, door systems, and James Hardie remodeling. Before joining Allied, Darryn also spent five years with another roofing, siding, and window company.

Darryn specializes in helping homeowners update the parts of their homes they see every day—and the parts Texas weather reaches first.
His combination of construction experience, insurance-claims experience, product knowledge, and decades in exterior remodeling helps him explain not just what can be changed, but why particular materials and project details matter.
